The Catapult gives riders a unique, high-adrenaline, vertical experience. When launched, riders will experience forces similar to astronauts as they are rocketed from ground level to well over 200 feet in the air. At the highest point, riders will become momentarily weightless as they freely rotate forward and backward before being pulled back to Earth. After several up-and-down oscillations, the capsule is lowered to the boarding area to unload the riders.

The Catapult is designed and manufactured to the highest amusement industry safety standards, including the A.S.T.M. standards of the United States and the T.U.V. standards of Europe. Two riders are secured in capsule seats by full harness restraints with multiple locking mechanisms for safety and comfort. All ride systems are monitored and controlled by an integrated computer system to provide every rider the same amount of thrust, despite their weight.

The Double Thunder Raceway consists of side-by-side go-kart tracks that snake over a course of nearly half a mile, with several sweeping turns, overpasses, 360-degree spirals, straight-aways and camelbacks. Both tracks and all go-karts are equipped with a remote-controlled safety system, ground-control speed devices and traffic signal lights to indicate the status of the track.

The Sky Coaster is a sport/amusement attraction that offers all the thrills and excitement of skydiving and hang gliding. The attraction requires participants to be strapped into a full-body harness (usually referred to as a flight suit) that supports one to three flyers at a time.

From a static point of approximately six feet above the ground, flyers are pulled aloft by a launch cable until nearly reaching the top of the launch tower. At this point, flyers are approximately 143 feet above the ground, and their flight is ready to begin. Upon being given the signal, the flyers pull the ripcord, releasing themselves from the launch cable to rapidly swing toward the ground at speeds reaching up to 80 mph. The overall feeling is similar to that of swooping along the ground in a hang glider, or of skydiving.

Top Eliminator is a heart-pounding race car attraction that goes from 0 to 75 mph in 2.8 seconds, and Lagoon is one of a handful of locations that sends it roaring down the track. Top Eliminator combines competition and skill with a thrilling race experience. The ride is modeled after a drag race and utilizes real dragsters and a special track system. Anywhere from one to four cars can race together side-by-side. Each lane is individually timed, with results displayed after each run for drivers and spectators to see.

Drivers have control of their dragsters’ gas and brake pedals from the starting position to the braking area. The key to winning the Top Eliminator dragster race is in a quick reaction time at the starting line, and perfectly timed shifting. At the finish line, cars are stopped with a specially engineered roller coaster braking system.
