Baby Boats has remained a favorite with children since the early 60’s. Baby Boats consists of seven small boats being tugged around a stream built into the ground.

The Bat, Lagoon’s first suspended coaster, promises fun for the entire family. Riders will be suspended — feet dangling — below 1,122 feet of twisting track that banks and weaves through the trees, creating an exciting sensation of flying.

Boomerang is a classic bumper car ride. Riders can choose between three different types of cars: the Ford, Opal, or Mercedes Benz. Each car is able to move forward and in reverse, depending on how far you turn the steering wheel.

BomBora is a dynamic coaster with numerous state-of-the-art high speed thrilling elements including sudden drops, banked turns, compound spirals, and more. An innovative 16-seat train pairs riders side by side accompanied by rocking music and elegantly lighted theming. The amply padded seat and restraint securely holds riders at the waist to provide exhilarating upper body freedom during the ride. Each seat may accommodate an adult or child rider.

Bulgy the Whale is a classic up-and-down ride, fun for little ones. Children travel around in circles while "riding the waves" in whale-shaped cars.

The "Screamer" consists of 20 cars around a disc. As the ride begins to spin, the disc stays in a horizontal position. When speed and centrifugal forces increase, the ride is lifted to a near-vertical position as the disc continues to spin.

The Cliffhanger consists of two-seat gondolas, accommodating 20 guests each, connected to a large mast that turns and rotates them. The operation of the ride produces a rocking somersault experience in both forward and reverse. Each gondola may be locked in position or allowed to turn during the ride cycle. The Cliffhanger has a water feature through which the gondolas travel. You will get wet — possibly soaked — as your gondola passes through the water.

The Fire Dragon was selected by People Magazine in 1984 as one of the top 10 coaster rides in the country! Zooming through breathtaking 65-foot diameter loops, 75% of your body's weight is pressed into the seat. The Fire Dragon is one-and-a-half times as high as the Lagoon Roller Coaster, and twice as high as the Jet Star 2.

The Dinosaur Drop and Ladybug Bop each consist of two independent 40-foot vertical fall towers. These family rides will appeal to all ages. Each ride has five double seats attached to a motorized ring driven around each vertical tower. Both towers offer several different ride programs in which vertical and rotational movement can be controlled, providing different ride experiences.

Dracula’s Castle is a classic dark ride, carrying guests through darkened hallways, with apparitions and surprises around every corner.

The Dragonfly is a fun swing ride for kids and adults. Lagoon employees developed and designed the theme, as well as the Dragonfly that sits atop the ride.

The Dragonfly consists of suspended seats that rotate around a center mast. Riders experience a smooth, orbiting ride with mild centrifugal forces.

Flying Aces was first introduced in 1964 as the Flying Swings. It returned in 1986 as the Flying Aces, with new World War I-themed planes. Guests control the planes with a fin, reaching heights of up to 25 feet as the ride spins.

Children thrill at the experience of flying the helicopters. The Helicopters travel in circles while the rider controls an up and down movement simulating flight.

Hydro Luge is made up of two different slides: blue translucent, or black opaque (pitch black). Guests ride a two-man raft while being propelled by a stream of water. Look out for sharp turns and sudden drops — and watch out, you will get wet!

Lagoon opened its 2004 season with a spectacular water feature located just inside the entry of the park. This interactive water attraction reestablishes a strong entrance into the park, welcoming visitors with a visually exciting display. It features stone paving and walls from India, and uses over 190 nozzles positioned to create a 30-foot diameter "water cage" with a 60-foot "leaping" water tunnel.

Lagoon entertains guests with dynamic daily and nightly water productions programmed to music. Theatrical lights provide color, and at the center of the water cage, jets force water 35 feet in the air. Throughout the remainder of the day, the water feature provides a fun interactive experience for visitors to enjoy.

The Jet Star 2 is a high-speed roller coaster-type ride. It starts by spiraling up a steel track to the top of the ride. From that point, the cars cascade down and around the track at varying angles.

After this coaster’s six-month run at the 1974 Expo in Spokane, Washington, it was moved to Lagoon and re-erected for the 1976 summer season. Jet Star 2 has become such a popular ride that a large investment was made in 2005 to refurbish it.

The Jumping Dragon consists of a large, ornately decorated, serpent-like figure with 18 carriers imbedded in its undulating body. As the dragon circles ‘round and ‘round chasing its tail, it leaps up to two meters and travels through a Chinese pagoda that is over 40 feet tall. The ride quickly accelerates, running both forward and backward.

Within the queue, guests waiting to ride walk past Foo Dog sculptures wishing them good luck. Next to the ride is a mysteriously beautiful dragon path. For those who dare, enter a spectacular sculpture of a dragon through its mouth!

The Kontiki is an island themed boat ride that both children and adults can enjoy. The ride simulates a trip on the ocean in an island boat. As it starts out, the boat begins swinging in a back-and-forth seesaw motion that suddenly turns into a churning experience, as if caught in an ocean whirlpool. Ride experience differs depending on guest seating in the boat.

This is a classic log flume ride. Guests board a "log" and travel through a water trough until they reach a hill. A conveyer belt carries guests to the top of the hill, where they enter a chute of water and head down to a big splash at the bottom.

Manufactured in 1893 by the Herschell-Spillman Company, Lagoon's Carousel, or Merry-Go-Round, is one of fewer than 170 intact wooden carousels in operation for the public today — and the only one in Utah! Lagoon has honored a commitment to keep the Carousel in good condition since its installation, and will preserve its magic for children for the next 100 years to come.

What makes the Carousel a priceless attraction is its intricate woodwork. The gifted hands and loving hearts of forgotten master craftsmen and wood carvers created each character separately over 110 years ago. These artists were highly skilled; most were European-trained. After many countless hours of carving, as well as painstaking sanding, painting and finishing, each artist produced just one unique animal, adorned with a wide range of features based on the whims of the carver and painter.

Moonraker gives children the adventure of space flight without ever leaving Earth. When in motion, the ride rises up into the air and starts to rotate. Reaching its full height, the top of the ride tilts and rotates as the entire ride spins.

Musik Express rapidly turns in a circle while oscillating up and down. Centrifugal forces are produced as the ride picks up speed. For those in the outside seat, prepare to be squished!

OdySea is an exciting interactive family ride. Guests will enjoy flying as they control the vertical motion of their vehicle. During the course of the ride, riders will receive a warning from the vehicle communication system that "spitting fish" will be spraying streams of water into the ride path. Lighted arrows on the vehicle dashboard will direct riders to dive or climb to avoid contact with the water. There is a good chance that riders will get wet!

Imagine a Ferris wheel at an angle. As the ride picks up speed, it repeatedly gives riders butterflies as they experience the feeling of parachuting.

The only roller coaster in Kiddieland, Puff the Little Fire Dragon is suitable for guests of all ages. Puff circles the track three times before coming to a stop. It's not a surprise to see adults on Puff, as parents are able to ride with their children.

Rattlesnake Rapids is a river raft ride designed to transport guests down 1/3 of a mile of lightning-quick water. Up to nine people can ride on a circular raft that carries them through rapid white water, rising swells and splashy waterfalls. The rafts travel in ever-changing directions from left to right, backward and forward, and up and down. Rafters should expect to get wet, maybe even soaked!

Red Baron gives children the adventure of an airplane dogfight in vintage-themed biplanes. Children in the front seat control the up-and-down motion of the plane as they travel around in circles.

Red Rock Rally utilizes beautifully decorated, off-road themed vehicles that each seat two riders. The eight off-road vehicles run on an oval track with an exciting whip action for extreme fun. Each seat may accommodate an adult or child rider.

The Rock-O-Plane is circular and upright much like a Ferris wheel, but with enclosed seating that allows the cars to be flipped. Riders can lock the coach in place to allow rocking, rolling and upside-down riding.

The Rocket is made of three independent structural steel towers, 217 feet tall. Two of the three towers have tracks with two very different thrill rides:

ROCKET BLAST OFF
This ride accelerates guests from ground level to 200 feet straight up in less than three seconds, with the initial powered blast creating a force of 4.5 Gs on the rider. Upon reaching the top position, guests are blasted downward with 2-G force, and gradually slowed by increasing pressure as they enjoy several air-cushioned bounces up and down the tower.

ROCKET RE-ENTRY
Similar to "Blast Off," this ride works in the opposite direction. Guests are slowly raised to the top of the 200-foot tower in approximately 20–25 seconds and then blasted downward. As they near the bottom of the tower, they enjoy several air-cushioned bou

Over 80 years old, the Lagoon Roller Coaster remains one of the most popular attractions at the Park, and one of only a few wooden coasters between Denver and the West Coast. In 1953, a fire destroyed the front of the coaster. It was rebuilt the following year, and sections of the roller coaster are rebuilt from year to year.

To ensure the safety of this ride, inspectors walk and thoroughly check over the tracks in the early morning of each day before putting them into use for the public. The Coaster was designed by John Miller, who also designed coasters for Coney Island.

The Samurai consists of six radial arms that spin as the entire ride rotates through an oval arc in either direction. As centrifugal forces increase, the entire ride rises to a near-vertical position, gathering forces that allow each arm to freely rotate. The sensation of flying and performing loops is achieved in a smooth yet thrilling experience.

A favorite since 1986, Scaliwags lets children ride in a Dragon, Elephant, Bumble Bee, or a Ladybug. Scalawags travels around in circles, and allows children to control their up-and-down movements with a control stick.

Every child enjoys driving a car and bumping into things. Much like the bigger bumper cars, Scamper allows children to pick their favorite car. These little versions have no pedals, but allow children to go forward and backward depending on how they turn the wheel.

When Sky Fighter opened in 1954, it was known as the Kiddie Planes. Kids can sit facing either forward or backward in planes that have noisemaker guns. Unlike other rides in which riders can make their car go up and down, these cars go up — and stay up — for the duration of the ride.

Sky Ride is Lagoon’s only transport ride. Similar to a ski lift, Sky Ride conveys guests to and from the north and south ends of the Midway. Sky Ride provides spectacular views of Lagoon's Midway, rides, gardens and fountains. Take a moment to relax as the Sky Ride transports you from one end of the park to the other.

This enormous Ferris wheel hovers over the park at a height of 150 feet, with 36 gondolas capable of holding 4–6 passengers each. This ride offers a magnificent view of the valley, and is engineered to withstand hurricane-force winds. The Sky Scraper is equipped with a special generator that is capable of operating the ride.

Space Scrambler does exactly as the name suggests: it rotates at high speeds, with gradual to extreme centrifugal forces.

Speedway Jr. takes guests on a nice drive through the country. Drive past a lake and an old-style wooded bridge, and finish the trip with a stop at a gas station.

The first of its kind in North America, this spinning coaster takes riders to a new extreme. Four passengers load into the coaster car — two facing forward and two facing back. The car remains in this locked position as it descends the initial drop. As the car ascends the second hill, it unlocks, allowing free horizontal spin — up to 20 rotations per minute!

Terroride is Lagoon’s oldest haunted attraction. This classic haunted house dark ride travels through darkened hallways with nightmarish scenes. This ride has remained largely unchanged, frightening newcomers and allowing repeat visitors to relive memories and brace for that one last surprise before the end of the ride.

Set on the shores of the lagoon, Tidal Wave is a giant swinging boat ride. At the highest point of 66 feet, guests experience a feeling of weightlessness as the boat reaches its true vertical position.

What’s an amusement park without the family classic, Tilt-A-Whirl? While the ride spins and oscillates up and down, the cars are able to spin freely, creating centrifugal forces.

The Tipsey Tea Cups is “a spin” on the classic Tea Cup ride. The platform rotates while riders may spin their individual cup at their own pace for a wild, dizzying, fun-filled ride. Each seat may accommodate an adult or child rider.

Turn of the Century was installed in honor of Lagoon’s 100th birthday. Resting on the shores of the lagoon, this swing ride rises and rotates while oscillating up and down, swinging riders over the waters of the lagoon.

It’s big. It’s fast. It’s Wicked — Lagoon’s most thrilling coaster, ever! Riders launch to the top of the 110-foot tower at speeds close to 41 mph by means of a linear synchronous motor (LSM) drive system, essentially rocketing riders up and over the top of the first hill.

The 8-rider vehicles travel individually and achieve speeds of up to 55 mph, passing through steep valleys, high-banked turns, a half-pipe, a heart-roll inversion and more. The lap/leg restraints will provide an exhilarating upper body freedom for riders.

Opened in 1967 as Animaland Train, the Wild Kingdom Train continues the memory of Lagoon being a stop on the old Bamberger Train line. The steam train travels with guests around the lagoon, treating them to spectacular views and glimpses of exotic animals. With animals like Siberian tigers, a golden eagle, zebras, camels, and African lions, the Wild Kingdom Train gives an experience unlike most amusement park train rides.

The all-new Wild Mouse is a full-fledged fun trap that is sure to send your tail spinning. Strap yourself into a one-car coaster and hold on tight as you climb, drop and spin your way through 180-degree turns, negative G-forces, and camelback hills back to the surface 50 feet below. The Wild Mouse is so wild, so crazy, you’ll squeak with glee!
