Are you looking for a great way to fundraise for your group or organization?
Lagoon is currently recruiting not-for-profit groups to participate in fundraising events during Lagoon’s Post Season including our Frightmares weekends and other special events.
Opportunities are available in in our Food and Beverage Department. As a volunteer in our Food and Beverage Department, your group will help to staff some of our food and beverage locations found throughout the park as well as in our catering operations.
What would my organization be doing?
Individuals from your group will be assigned to various food service locations including concessions and catering operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: food sales (taking and fulfilling orders), completing cash handling transactions, following basic food safety and sanitation guidelines in regards to the serving and preparation of food items, cleaning assigned work locations, stocking, clearing and wiping tables, greeting guests, washing dishes, portraying and maintaining positive demeanor in busy environment, etc.
How many volunteers do we need?
Each group should have a minimum of (5) five or more individuals willing to commit to working a minimum of (5) five shifts each. Job sharing is not permitted.
What types of schedules are available?
Various scheduling options are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during our Frightmares promotion. Participants will be scheduled at least 4-8 hours each day, depending on the program option selected. Shifts vary from weekend to weekend, typically beginning around 5 PM and ending around 11:30 PM.
Does my group need to be identified as a 501c3 organization?
Yes. Additionally, groups must provide a valid Tax ID for its charitable group and a W-9 form before any donation will be made. Documentation must be provided to Lagoon prior to participating.
How much will my group earn?
Lagoon will make a voluntary donation to your organization in an amount equal to $9.00 per hour for every volunteer hour provided.
Do volunteers need a Food Handler Permit?
Yes, every individual from the group must possess a valid Utah Food Handler Permit to participate.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Participants should be 18 years of age or older. However, there may be limited opportunities for participants 16 years of age and older.
Can anyone volunteer?
All volunteers must represent your organization. Additionally, while participating, each volunteer will represent Lagoon. Participants must adhere to Lagoon’s Grooming & Appearance Standards and all other program policies, procedures, and deadlines. A list of volunteers shall be supplied to Lagoon no later than two weeks prior to participating.
