-Utah Amusement Park Rider Responsibility Act - Utah Code Ann. 78-27-61
There are inherent risks in the participation in or on any amusement ride or device, water slide, or other attraction, and such participation may be hazardous regardless of all reasonable safety measures undertaken by Lagoon. Lagoon guests using an amusement ride or device, waterslide, or other attraction accept the risks inherent in such participation of which the ordinary prudent person is or should be aware. Guests also have a duty to exercise good judgment and act in a responsible manner while using the amusement ride or device, water slide, or other attraction, and to obey all oral and /or written warnings prior to and/or during participation.
Each guest needs to recognize that forces created by some amusement rides and water slides are both significant and unique. Such forces may be unfamiliar to some guests and may accentuate existing conditions which may not be combatable. Any guest that has a health condition that could be aggravated by such activities, or who is pregnant, should not participate.
